What cichlid is this and can you tell the sex?

looks to be parachromis motaguensis but could be a hybrid, where did you get the fish, what was it sold as.

If by Red Terror you mean Mesoheros festae, it is not.

Above left is a male Mesoheros festae, above right are 2 female M festae.
Below is a male parachromis motaguense

By the way there is also another cichlid called a red terror Mayaheros uropthalmus, that yours is not.
