Hi, I want to add a new SA/CA cichlid to the family but am not sure what I want. I have room for a fish up to about 15 inches. It will probably live by itself as well. It can not be JD, oscar, or synspilum because I own those and am looking for a new challenge. Any suggestions?

IMO you should get a bocourti. From the research I've done they are very interesting and beautiful fish. Plus which they get pretty big and are mostly herbivorous. I would get a pair myself but want to wait until I can get more suitable housing for them. Good luck!
A big male trimac sounds perfect if you want a single great looking fish with loads of personality. How big is the tank?
well, if I had to have one large cichlid living on it's own, I might try a flowerhorn

I have 60 gallon laying around but am more than willing to pick up a larger one. Wanna know what Im keeping first for planning purposes.
I love my chocolate, They get 10-12", Or a dovi if you want something big and mean, They might be a little bigger than 15"
