Not quite sure what he/she is, and I do apoligise about the photo quality and the fact my texas as took a liking to his tail.

kinda looks like a festae(red terror as you have in your sig) but without the color and a more slender body shape

Looks like a Festae, could be a uro though. With a better picture it could be identified more closely. Look for a Y-band near the head - stripes form a Y.

That picture is worse, but the more I look at the fish I think it is a uro. No Y-band. Where did you get it?

Your right that piccy is bad I'll try again tonight. I got him from quite a respectable dealer in the uk (I'll not mention) who was selling them as terrors. The colours of both fish to me at that age look very alike to me.

its either a festae or a mayan cichlid, I got fooled (thought I had a Festae but really had a Mayan
