what color gravel is best?

what color gravel and/or sand is best for bringing out a lapradei or endli's coloration?

Red, orange, pink, tan and brown. Black sometimes if the bichir already shows it's patterns. I prefer brown, tan and red.

I have light coloured sand and it does not bring out there colours very well. However, I am moving today and will switch to brown and will post before and after pics so you can be the judge.

Yep I did that and it look great. It look live a lava substrates.

It's mix of red, orange, tan and black.
