What color substrate do pearls look best on?

In addition to my previous question, what does their color look like when kept on a clear, bare bottom?

i think it does.keep them on dark sand and they go darker keep them on lighter and they go whiter.

PFS - Pool filter sand.

I think the best way to bring out a fish is to put in the opposite color of your fish. Like white and black, red and green, blue and brown, Brown maybe good with black. Either that or something that looks awesome. Black and blue. Brown with Red or something. I have seen red sand. Your choice either way.

IMO with pearls go very white sand.it will bring out the white I'n them
