what could be with a Hoplias Malabaricus

what other fish could be in a 60"x38"x30"(around 250 gal)???
any species of fish(posted this here because it's a characin) catfish,gars,etc...

There are always exceptions but as long as it's two big to eat and does not present a territorial threat it shouldn't be a problem.

for that tank, maybe some african pike.. or some datnoids..

Wolves do best with bichirs in my experience.

African pikes wouldn't be to small? And would a marble cat be alright?

i guess a large wolf could gobble up an african pike.. my 12" pike was bullying my 14" mala though.. i second the bichirs, seen lots of those combos work.. marble cat i think would be fine

I have my mala with a brycon, and a ornate bichir. Idk if I would advise the brycon with them seeing as my brycon irritates my mala.

OK what if the tank were more like 5'x2'x2'(under 200 gallons, I think). It's gonna be a DIY sooooo I am not sure on the specs yet.
