So I have a Red Texas that started getting frisky with Blood Parrot a few weeks ago and I was hoping the red texas was the male since male blood parrots are infertile...turns out the texas is the female, she's currently laying eggs as I type this and the parrot is gobbling them up(I actually paused this post and took the parrot out) almost as fast as she can lay them so clearly this pair isn't going to work out. So now I'm wanting to try to breed the texas with something else but the question is what should I pair her with? I have an opportunity to buy a male red texas, would this enhance any features or could I breed her with something else to enhance certain traits to make it more appealing to potential buyers?

Good Luck! Red Texas Cichlids (I was going to put RTC, but...well...self explanatory) look awesome. I think you should get a lot of buyers. I love Red Texas Cichlids, because they look Friggin great! Good Luck with breeding them!

Such odd, but good lookin fish! Hopefully the male is fertile. What kind of cats are those?
The person I got the male from was actually using him to breed his flowerhorns so he's a proven male so hopefully next time the female lays I will get some fry! I have 4 pictus and 1 colombian in the tank as well.
