+1 - giant danios, cheap and if you get a ton of em it could be fun to watch whatever 18" of meanness go after them haha, and if it leaves em alone they still look cool

Convict cichlids can be used as dithers. They're tough and breed like crazy so you'll end up with lots of different sized fish, and a live food source. What is this evil beast you're keeping?

I have giant danios as dithers been like 6 months now and the birchir is still amused and all the danios are still there.
