Well... good thing not asking about fish... as nothing I can think of fish wise can go in a 3 gal... Probably could put Zoanthids, and other "encrusting" type softies as "branching" ones would get to big for the tank rapidly.

They should beable to do well in there, though Xenia can grow like a weed in the right conditions.

The shrimp yes, snail yes, goby... normally i'd say no, but this type only gets to 1" so... it should be ok in there in theory.

Haha, good question. They aren't recomended for tanks under a 10 (at least on LiveAquaria but I get the feeling thats the smallest they recomend either way even if its ok in smaller)... but I would be willing to to put one in it, as they stay small, and as gobies they aren't hugely active fish so less space shouldnt be a problem. So by in theory I mean it shouldn't be a problem, but there is always the possibility that there will be a problem (like there is always a possibility with any fish in any system).

A tiny shrimp goby along with pistol shrimp would be a cool combo...
