What could I put in a 70g?

Hey

I may be getting a 70g tank soon. This will be my first big tank. What all fish could I keep in this tank? I think I would like fewer big instead of more smaller fish. I am open to suggestions though.

If you are interested in cichlids you could have a couple of options.

An Oscar will go happily into a 70g for life.

You could do a pair of Jack Dempsey's or a Texas.

All depends on what you want. What type of fish are you into?

A green terror and a nice catfish. Mid-size schooling fish. Half a dozen mascara barbs come to mind. Maybe a shcool of roseline sharks although they are pricey!

or a Texas Cichlid along with a mid' sized Catfish .

A variety of polypterus species would look great. You can keep some cichlids with them as well.
