Just curious what you all you guys use to feed your Crenicichla. There are soo many options now, and sucha variety...that its mind boggling. Just wanna see what the majority of us are using, if anything. Any tips, success stories, or DO NOTS for feedin also would be appreciated!
Freeze dried/Frozen Krill, Worms of all kinds, Feeders, Salad shrimp I cannot for the life of me get mine to touch a pellet, whether sinking or floating. My marm would sooner starve than to eat anything that doesn't resemble a fish. I have starved her for 6 days and still won't touch even worms or shrimps.
I find that my pikes are the easier of the carnivours that I have to wean onto prepared foods. The PBass will eat nothing but live with the exception of one fish. The pikes eat everything from pellets to market shrimp to silversides to earthworms to live goldfish. Unfortunately they get their share of live goldfish because they live with the finicky Cichla.
I feed all my pikes Cichlid Gold pelets, earthworms, and feezed dried krill. I cant get one of the lenticulata to eat the pelets. He will only eat the krill and worms. The rest of them eat the pelets like crazy.
