Well I got a call from my LFS saying they got in a new datnoid (I just missed the one they had in forever) and they said it was the same "Datnioides Microlepis" Indo datnoid. when I saw it, it was silver and to me looks like a Datnioides Quadrifasciatus AT to me.

Here are some crappy camera phone pics (sorry all I had) what do you guys think it is, I have them holding him till tomorrow for me, oh and it is about 3.5-4"...

or is he unstable? ha ha I just read that he could be stressed giving him the darker color in the light he has the orangish color to him...
 
would he be worth picking up for a FW tank? I was told he was FW and the Datnioides Microlepis but from reading the ATs are Brackish...
 
I agree with messy.... it is DEFF a AT. I have heard of ppl keep em in fresh water with no problem, but i have never had one so i cant speak from experience.

in the wild they normally live n brackish
 
oh is $78cad a good price for him, I know they are hard to find in my area as this is only the second one I have seen...
 
If you can't find them in your area, than they are rare to you. The price will be a little higher because of that.
Buy him.

thats about the right money for a AT of 4-5inch
