What design to use for my return water in the tank?

I was wondering if anybody has any pictures of what they are using for water flow design from their sump back into the tank? I think I want to change mine.

I would try to eliminate some of the 90 elbows. CHange your ball valves after the T to a horizontal position instead of vertical would get rid of two. Also finding a way to eliminate the elbow on the intake side will help reduce strain on the pump. Is this your goal less head loss or just a cleaner look?
