what did I get?

I got this fish at the lfs tonight, it was in a tank marked "native florida fish" there was two of these guys, I took the smaller more colorfull one, they look like lm bass to me but im not sure, mine is about 1.25 inches. there were also some little white fish about 2 inches that were white and shaped sorta like a small snakehead.

it was 2$.

Doesn't Florida have pygmy sunfish? Looks like what it could be to me.
