I just want to know if this is bacterial, fungal or parasitic infection on my piraiba catfish. If so what is the best medicine? Prazipro, paraguard, dymax endo guard, salt etc

Looks like an injury to me, not a disease.
Is there anything in the tank it could have ran into or tank mate that could have done
It?

How long have you had the Catfish? Looks like a bite wound to me.
2 months. Well if its a bite wound then his partner would be the suspect

His tankmates are bichirs and another piraiba. I dont think the bichirs did it

Maybe not but wouldn't surprise me if it was a Bichir. I've noticed that during feeding my Polypterus sometimes they will accidentally bite the head or mouth area of poly holding food in its mouth. I suggest just keep water in pristine condition and hopefully the Catfish will heal.

When feeding, the Catfish is usually at the right side of the tank with the other catfish and the bichirs at the left. Anyway I separated the catfish into a quarantine tank and placed some Melafix. Hopefully he would heal faster..
