Can anybody please post up some pics of what a burned fish looks like? My pleco (who likes to hang around the heater) has an oval shaped slightly discolored wound on her. Not sure, but I think its a burn?!?! If it is whats the treatment?

epending on the severity keep water as clean as possible add melafix to help prevent bacterial infection.If the burn is severe (you can see fish flesh) gob on neosporin or polysporin ointment-Anne
Always 1) use a heater guard 2) or place heater in the sump or use an in line heater. Its far easier to prevent than to cure

Still unsure if its a burn but I will treat anyways just in case.
