What do Electric Catfishes eat? I honestly dont want to feed him life food for his life.. Could they eay pellets? Sinking Catfish pellets? I really want these guys they're pretty cool looking.

They are greedy and will eat just about anything. They like it quiet when they are small but are really confident when grown.

It's a catfish, it'll probably eat whatever it can fit in its mouth. Feed a carnivore pellet, like Massivore.

If you are wanting to feed pellets then you better start feeding pellets from the beginning. Mine will not take any food if it does not look like it is alive. I feed thin slices of white fish and shrimp. I also stuff night crawlers with catfish pellets. Homer will not eat any thing if I don't hand feed it to him. I have been told other people have had good luck feeding other things like blood worms and brine shrimp. Just start feeding pellets and other foods when the fish is very young. They do become very trained with time.

I have relally quite months whit mi e. cat, i first feed mi pet whit earthworms, baby mollys, small gupyes, now heat cebras and mollys medium zide (the fathers of the babys XD). I see mi catfish in the firsts days testing the flakes but really prefer the fishes, i dont know if can eat pellets. In some sites they say that you can feed the e. cat whit other foods, but i rellly dont has testet whit no live food.

I hope you still aren't planning on putting it in that tank with the RBP like you mentioned in your other thread...

Mine would eat feeders all day. i had him for about 2 years went on vacation and had a bad snow storm that turned off the power so i come back and my tank temp was below the lowest reading which is like 58. he was upside down and covered in somthing not sure what though. but i always kept the lights off he seemed to eat alot more at night time

Mi baby e. cat survive afcter water in 16° C, jeje for not using heater the first days :(
