I have two female blood parrots about the size of a tennis ball. Ideally I would like to get something that has the bp body but spangles on it. I am not keen on flowerhorns as I want to get into discus and have one in a 65 and one in a 30 gallon and i don't feel the 30 would house a flowerhorn and bp also i don't like the pricing of flowerhorns... :0) Any other ideas and any pictures of the offspring? Currently they are with jellybeans out of 3 clutches I've had one survive. That's it and the last two clutches the females won't let anything near the nest. Should I remove them and leave the eggs alone with the males? Any suggestions, pics, ideas or insight would be much appreciated.

you are right...your tanks are too small for flowerhorns. You might get away with a couple in the 65. FYI , jellybeans are also blood parrots and the male is 95% of the time infertile on all blood parrots. If you have female bloodparrots, you might be able to cross them with other male cichlids...flowerhorns would give you a bit of everything...fry with fh colors & bp bodies, fh short-bodies, etc. If you want to get more ideas go to www.flowerhornusa.com blood parrots are crossed regularly over there...

FYI, Jellybeans are *not* parrots. Jellybeans are shortbody/balloon convicts. I have several. But if you don't like flowerhorns, then don't breed anything to the blood parrots, as the blood parrot is sometimes part of making a flowerhorn :)
I would suggest throwing in a couple of your favorite male cichlids in there and seeing who does the deed, as long as they don't get too big for the tank.
Or just do the old fashioned thing, and make more jellybeans, using a male convict.

If jelly beans are not parrots how could he make them with a male con??
