I have recently set up a new 125 tank for African cichlids. I did a fish less cycle jumpstarted with some used substrate in filter bags placed on the sand and in the two FX6.
My ammonia and nitrites are reading zero, but yesterday I noticed a whiteish clump of algae looking stuff on the bottom.

I scooped it out....what should I do next?
I was going to add a dozen fish next week.

Did you add food to decompose or are you using pure ammonia? If you used fish food its most likely a fungus, but if you used pure ammonia I honestly have no idea what it could be. Either way do large water changes for the next week and observe for any major changes in the water parameters/quality.
