It's been a week since my 5 inch kelberi's ate last. Tonight they took pellet on half a dozen occasions at least, however, they then spat them back out again. They are looking skinny and at present only eat live and bloodworms.

You have to make the aeroplane noise...

When they spit them out do the pellets look chewed at all or are they whole, what are your water parameters?

Really? "Chooo chooo" always worked for me.

No seriously tho. Try hold out 2 more days, if they don't eat then, then give em live for a bit and try again

I would try frozen bloodworms. Thaw out a cube or 2. Drain all the liquid you can. Then use a spoon and dip in a little at a time so that they hammer them when dropped in. Once they eat the bw for a few days start adding in crushed pellets.

5 inches? its good if theyre at least trying. freeze dried krill and freeze dried shrimp work like a charm for me everytime. every growout ive had has gone onto pellets that way with good success rate. the thing is you mentioned they took it half a dozen times "tonight", how long do you keep the food in there? because you should really be taking out the food within 2 minutes if theyre not eating, you dont want them used to it in the tank or else they wont want to eat it. try to trigger a resonse from them and drop only enough so they barely get fed at first so they get used to smoking anything that hits the surface.

Yeah I put a lot in last night because they started taking them. They're only the small carnivore ones about a tenth the size of massivore. I know what you mean, I won't put that many in tonight. I do have a couple of large clown loach that clean up most of what hits the deck.
