how did you cycle it? with fish or without, or did you use seeded media, or that cycle stuff? if its fully cycled you should have 0 ammonia, 0 nitrItes, and some nitrAtes..
The cycle isn't finished yet until (like NavyGir76 said) the ammonia & nitrites are '0' and you have some nitrates. You can add straight ammonia (no additives) or raw shrimp or fish food to get it going faster. Assuming you have no fish in it you need to keep an ammonia source in there until the tank 'grows' some nitrates to consume the nitrites.
Definately need to add something to the tank to help it cycle. Buy a cheap pleco. That's what I did before I started using live bacteria to cycle tanks.
just thinking, ehh. would more shrimp ud obviously kick start more bacteria. just thinking especially if your planning to put in say 5 or 6 at the beggining after ur established. i guess you could just add more shrimp so that it can handle the bioload as therell be more beneficial bacteria ehh?
