I have had an Amazon Sword for a couple of weeks and its doing pretty good, it has developed a runner and the node at the top has developed into a baby with about six good sized leaves and roots. When do I clip it and how?

Also I have some Java Fern and it seems to be developing sprouts out of its leaves. Is this normal?

Thanks for any help in advance.

yeah, the java fern will develop new plants on the underside of the leaves. Wait until they're longer, maybe an inch, then you can pull them off by hand and tie them onto driftwood or rock and they'll grow into new plants.

Wait for the amazon runner to grow a lit bigger then just plant it and then cut it after a few weeks. How tall is the mother amazon?

DO NOT PULL OUT THE node runner thing.

The thing in the middle that is long and skinny. It will not grow back. I made this mistake and I regret it terribly. I only got one out of the mother. So sad. I wait every day for the baby one to start one.
