So what have you been feeding him all this while?

Are you referring to Synodontis eupterus? If so, they are carnivores. In the wild, they often feed heavily on snails and will do the same in the aquarium. They will also accept a wide range of aquarium fare, including tablet and pellet foods, and a wide variety of flakes. In addition, live and frozen foods, such as brine shrimp and bloodworms, are appreciated. Feed in the morning and at lights-out time at night

Eups are not fussy eaters.:grinno: They eat just about anything.

Some of the easiest fish to feed. Mine can survive on just the extra bits of pellet that comes out of my Oscars gills... but i actually feed the little guy.
He gets Hikari sinking cichlid pellets, shrimp pellets, earth worms, shrimp, and loves bloodworms.

can they eat chicken or beef hearts an small river fish?
not their natural diet.. mess up tank water.. river fish carry disease... their are so many things available and so much variety in their diet that you don't have to resort to things that they would not eat natually..
