This was sold to me as a super red blood parrot. He is much redder than my cell phone pics show. What drew me to him is he has a normal mouth that closes so it makes me wonder what he is. Is it a Blood Parrot crossed back to a Red devil or is just a short body red devil/midas? He is about 2.5". He has normal mouth that closes fine, no notch in the head, and isn't fat or balloon bellied like parrots. He is also already claimed a corner of the tank and fended off bigger fish so he seems fairly aggressive.

I know nobody can tell me for sure what he is but just wonder what other thoughts are. What ever he is I love him. My daughter has named him strawberry.

This is what I think of when I think of parrots there is an obvious difference.

Profile is close from some of the pics I have seen on Google image but color is more red than pink or purple.

Anyone have any ideas or comments?

RT Project, what is that?

Edit
I just realized Red Texas. That would be cool if I had the space I would try that. I believe it is a male I tried to vent but it is still small. I heard Male BP are sterile is this true?

Thanks for your response. I haven't seen anything like this before glad to see someone else has. He was the most aggressive in the tank at the LFS. Can't wait to see how he turns out.
