Wondering if this is a just a regular JD or is an EBJD. I thought the black base color was due to stress but it actually lightens up when stressed instead.
Looks like a 'regular' JD. 'Regular' in parenthese because JDs are highly varied in terms of coloration and patterns, hence why it'd look different from the rest. Also, looks female.
Very beautiful regular jack dempsey. I can see where you would question it being an EBJD, I had that same issue with one of mine a few months back haha. Good luck with him, he's a stunner! How big is he?
Thanks guys. He's about 5". I was looking for a fish to help spread out some of the aggression from my syn on a pearsei I picked up. This tough guy has definitely helped that problem and he's becoming a favorite of mine already.
