I want to do a UV sterilizer, 150 gph and good mechanical filtration. I thought I would ask the experts instead of the sandwich artists at the fish store.

Wet/dry with a UV on a seperate pump:D Best of everything that way!

Don't I have to have overflow to have a wet dry?

Not if you have the wet/dry above your tank. :D

I thought you've been around here for a whole? No offense, just seemed a funny question.

I aggree with the separate pump for the UV. You can regulate the flow for it without effecting the filter.

I have, but I never paid attention to threads about canister filters because I didn't have one and wasn't interested. Now I am.

Isent the uv light just for algee? hob filters dont have uv lights so why does a wet/dry.

Get a
pump, pvc, hob overflow, media,a tupowear bin. and your set.

I agree, above tank wet/dry filters are easier to plumb, however they are a big ugly thing to see.

If they're done right I think they look cool:)

Wurm, are you looking into canisters or sumps?

I just need something I can run a UV on and get good biofiltration.
