What do i need?

I currently have a cichlid tank but they are slowly killing each other so I have the intentions of making it a salt water tank. what is needed to make it a good stable tank it is a 55g please let me know thanks

FO - Fish Only or FOWLR- Fish Only With Live Rock or Reef

Have no idea about salt water so i am getting all info before it do a setup if those are the only options to do it would be FOWLR. are there other setups or what?
