I might be making a trip there this weekend...

I saw this... http://www.worldaquarium.net/ but the people rating it say it was horrible

I saw past threads in this site about the "pirhana realm" but I can't find anything recent and the one thing I did fine said it wasn't at the mall anymore.

How is the zoo fish wise?

and are there any good fish stores anywhere. good = have more than the basic petco/petsmart tropical fish.

Thanks!

The World Aquarium in the city museum is okay, a few real nice HUGE tanks with HUGE pacu, barbs, sharks, etc. You'd like it, but expensive to visit. It's like $14 or $15 per person I think.

I go to Malawi Aquatics at 11619 W. Florissant Blvd, they have a great selection of cichlids and all types and sizes of fish. Also Beldt's Aquarium on McDonnel Blvd, they have a descent variety.

The one plcae, I forget the name, used to be by the St. Louis Mills Mall, I'm no sure if they're still open I haven't been in some time. If so it's worth checking out and it's only like $3 to visit.

Okay, the city museum prices are $12 for the entire museum, plus $5 for the aquarium visit. I guess it's $17 then.

The STL Zoo has a nice aquarium/fish house, too.

The city museum has some cool fish. Some of the tanks have some monster fish. There are some other things to see at the museum too...many of which are kid oriented.

The zoo has some (not many) fish (mainly native fish) there are some huge catfish though.

To get a better idea of what they have fish wise watch:
