my questions are..

He doesnt seem to eat frozen blood worms what welse for food?
and if i get the standerd 10 gallon how much water do i fill it up with ? and what do i use for a seeting pad type deal right now in the eclipse it sits on a single lava rock?

all auggestions apreaciated...

thanks

A ten gallon with a few inches of water would be fine. You can either taper the gravel to a small land mass or buy a floating pad made specifically for him or use rocks, wood, etc...

Food: Frozen blood worms in the water - newts usually eat in the water only. Small guppies, shrimp pellets things like that. I have an Oregon Newt that we've had for over 7 years. They are a great pet and enjoyable to watch.

If he won't eat the frozen stuff, maybe try live black worms till you can get him trained. Get a screen top for him, so there's still air movement. You don't want things getting stale in there! For small amphibian tanks like that, I usually use a Duetto 50 or 100, or a small fluval submersible. They are one of my favorite newts (mostly because they stay small). Good luck with this little project man! Put some pics up if you feel like it!

mine always eats brine and blackworms(live) with no problems. 3'' of water and a nice peace of drift wood is what i use in my setup.
