Hey I just purchased my first flower-horn from my old LFS that's about an hour and a hands drive away I went there not expecting to find anything but this just peeked my interest. He was just in an almost 2 hour drive back from the lfs due to traffic just acclimated and just put into the tank when I snapped these pics. here he is guys! What kind is it is it male or female is it good quality what do you think

male, low quality - but nice fish - it all depends on the fact that you liked him. You should not have paid any more than $25.

I love him I like how he looks I thought he was a stunner since I didn't know what to look for in flower-horn as I am new to them I paid a pretty penny for him a very pretty one at that haha

don't sweat it , if you like the fish it's a low price for a lesson in shopping and odds are he will color up some

Think of it this way : There's VERY HIGH quality, and then there's LOW QUALITY, and then there's simply "I LOVED IT"

That's all that matters - is that you liked him.

I would start him on an Epsom salt soak on his food, I've always had bad luck with internal parasites with flower horns

I'm going to feed him this
And krill

And what ever else he adopts but as far as the salts go he is perfectly healthy he was eating the pellets in the first pic at the lfs and he also pooped in the bag ( I know wierd huh) but it wasent white or stringy so I won't treat him unless I really see an issue he seems healthy
