other than the wafers and sinking stuff u buy commercialy? is cucumber or zucinni Ok, if so how do you prepair it? mine love the shrimp that you get at the store for humans i just boil them for a minute, and pull them apart and they go wild is this ok they seem very healthy.:screwy:

When I feed market shrimp, I just stick a frozen shrimp on a fork and drop it in.
You're right, they love it.
mine also love melon and zucchini
Cucumber is also a huge favorite, but it makes so much mess, I only feed it the night before a water change.
Oh, and I feed everything raw--I just stick whatever it is on a stainless steel fork or butter knife and drop it in.
Most of my flatware is in tanks most of the time and I end up using plastic stuff for myself...:screwy:

I feed cucumber (with the 'cuke' or 'squishy middle part' as I call it, taken out to make less mess), potatoe, lettuce, and market shrimp.

To prepare the veggies, I just rinse them, cut them into four large pieces, then rubberband them to different parts of the driftwood, and for potatoes, I just drop them in different spots (they sink).

Shrimp is defrosted and rinsed, then dropped in the tank.

I don't use silverware because I don't like the look of a fork sitting in my tank and I worry about the plecs hurting their bellies if they're munching in the wrong position.

Dried kelp and other assorted sea weeds or some algae pelets and zucchini

Im sure wyldfyas link will take you to the dietry thread sticky. Theres also a poll somewhere where people have posted which veggies people have the best success with. Vegetables only need to be washed (and you can soak potatoes to rid as much starch as poss). They don't need to be cooked or blanched, this removes the nutrition.
