what do yall think about Fluval Peat Granules. I want to use it in my planted tanks to lower Ph and lower my ppm from 350 to close to 100.

1. How do yall like it (for the ones who use it)
2. Will it work for ph and ppm
3. If it works will I have to worry about Ph swings (when adding will it bottom out, when it runs out will the Ph spike and will water changes make Ph swings)
4. Will it cloud water
5. Can I use purigen in the tank to

I used to use landscaper's sphagnum. 10 bucks for a 20Lb bail. Got a nice tannin patina to the water. Fish were super healthy with hyper negligent husbandry (maybe syphoned water twice a year) but can't speak to pH or swings as we didn't test. This was university, maybe 20-odd years ago- I was a kid!

don't like the discolored water thats why i would possible use the purigen. The peat would be inreplacement for a $200 Ro/DI water unit. Forgot to say the tanks are 125 roseline diamond tetra brilliant rasbora kuili loach flying fox and royal pleco. The other tank is a to be discus tank.
