What do you all think about the lifeguard filters? Would you recommend them? They seem pretty affordable and are available for both chemical and mechanical filtration. It would be nice to buy 1 chemical and 1 mechanical and then have a canister for biological filtration. Thanks

I have worked with these filters and they are relitivley nice to work with. personaly i like sumps, but the great thing abotu them is you can customize how they go together. one downside i would say is that it can be a bit of a pain to clean out the mechanical filtration, unless u have a spare. and also alot of the crud falls back into the canaster when u lift out the insert, so u get a pretty nasty cloud of stuff come out when u tunr it bakc on somtimes. all around not a bad filter system.
