What do you all use on the suction...

side of your filters when your fry are young? I have 3 pre-filters but need to purchase 1 more. What could I use in the mean time? I've tried a net with a rubberband to hold it into place, but a few fry have been sucked lifeless. What else could I use?

If it is in a small tank you could use a air-powered sponge filter.

you could put a sponge over inlet big enough to cut down on suction

big sponge with very small holes is your best bet,Adds an extra biofilter to the system.Or you can use an ugf filter and plumb your filters intake directly to the ugf uplift tube.

I decided to use a sponge; over the intake of the power filter.
