What do you do to keep things "exiting"

To me this hobby can get a little bit boring at times. I always need something new to keep me interested in fish. What do you guys do?

Not sure how to keep things exiting......but to keep them exciting there are plenty of things you can do. Most of my tanks get redecorated every 6 months or so to freshen them up. Others get their stock completely switched out when I get bored with them. Sometimes you just have to use your imagination, or read some DIY threads on here to get you motivated!

Randomly turn my filters off...Add an Oscar to my guppy tank...Introduce Clown loaches to my collection of snails...

I find the excitement in this hobby from watching my fish grow, change color, etc. Not from re-doing my stock every 6 months or whatever. Maybe you need more interesting fish.

There will be an endless supply of tanks and cool, rare and interesting fish and plants for pennies on the dollar, excellent monthly speakers, a network of people with whom to share experiences. Probably for less than $2 per month.

Aaaahahahahaha!

I change my aquascaping pretty regularly but other than that nothing. The character and attitude of my cichlids just keeps me entertained.
