hey im getting a bunch of cats in soon, lima shovelnose, colombian sharks and pictus cats, just wondering what the staple diet should be for them especially the lima, sinking carnivore pellets, will they take floating krill?

thanks in advance
robb

hikari sinking carnivore is a great one!
now that my channel cat is a little larger I also throw in chopped up shrimp or fish fillets that have been marinated in boyd's vita-chem to save a little $ (the hikari is expensive, but you get what you pay for)

Hikari is a great staple food for most catfish, especially the columbians, pictus, RTC's, plecos, and most other bottom feeders. shrimp pellets can be substituted for a while. The LSN will likely take time to convert to pellets, if at all. I find blocks of frozen brine, FD tubifex, shrimp and of course, feeders are most readily accepted by LSN. Dont forget to break up algae tabs into small pieces, cats will eat that too and its good for them.
good luck!
