Mine is in a rut. Will now only eat sinking carnivore pellets. Has stopped eating all frozen foods, and most store bought too.

But also, don't they need vegetable matter in their diets too?

I've tried lettuce, peas... etc. And I am getting kind of worried.

Putting it on a diet can also help. Try not to feed it for 3 days and then after the 3rd day, try feeding him some frozen foods, peas etc. Marinating it in garlic juice can also help.

hmm, i've never fed mine any veggie matter. If pellets are the only thing it eats, it's not that bad. for the longest time, mine only ate frozen bloodworms, but now it eats a couple other things, but not regularly

My BGK will eat anything I offer - any type fo frozen bloodworms, beefheart, etc... sinking wafers intended for the Cory cats - these are his fav... just like puppy treats!!!
He even likes the flake food and shrimp pellets.

I have not found anything that he would not eat... some he likes better than others and it is easy to tell by the way he eats. The 'good stuff' is devoured and the other foods are picked at a little more slowly... but he has never refused a meal. :)

When smaller bloodworms and brine shrimp. Now chunks of fish, shrimp any type of seafood, pellets.

the pellets are the best staple diet you can get from one food, so better it is picky wanting only that than some other food

Mine will eat anything, but I'm starting to think it's kinda stupid -- right now it's working over a Hikari sinking pellet while everyone else in the tank is feasting on krill.
