Mine are super super picky. The only thing they will ever eat is bloodworms and snails. I've tried blackworms and triops with no luck. My guys aren't starving but I kind of wish they would show interest in something else.

Mine are spoiled to the point that they will only eat live blackworms & snails.

I don't feel like I'm doing any harm to them but I'd like to give them a little more variety.

About 4 months ago I put a few red cherry shrimp in there to see if the puffs would eat them but nope. It's pretty funny because I feed bloodworms in one of those plastic cones and the shrimp will come up on the cone to eat right along side of the puffers.

My old ones used to eat F-D plankton & krill.

You need to feed them more than just flakes. NONE of my fish only eat flakes.

just got them tho and also by tropical flakes i mean a diff kinds. like shrimp flakes, and chichild flakes ( i have them with some convicts ). and sometimes brine shrimp.

Mine won't even eat shrimp pellets. I'm breeding snails now though so they'll be happy for a long time.
