What foods do you feed your flagtail?

What foods can bring out the colors of his tail?

Mine at both 2" and 6" Get mainly pellets, and meaty foods, like mussle and prawn and have excellent colouration

i envy you! i got 2 theraponuras and their tails are OK in coloration since they dont eat ANY meaty foods...they only eat spirulina and tetra color bits! Ive tried starving them into accepting sera granuar and dried shrimp but they spit it out! I know they mainly algae, but ive read of several members who get them to eat meat...NOW HOW THE HECK DO U DO THAT?

i dont feed mine anything it feeds its self on left overs thats the whole point of a flagtail isnt it

its only a baby 13inch and i have only had it 6yrs do you think i am doing something wrong
