So I decided to try breeding jack dempseys since I have never breed any fish and I like JD's. Thing is I didn't expect to be successful. Now I'm not sure what to do with the fry. I figured I could use them as feeders to my pbass but my first batch is kinda sentimental to me. What do you guys tend to do with them? I plan on keeping a few of the better looking ones but I can't house too many of them and I still have around a 100 after a month.
What do you guys do with your fry?

Throw them in a 10 check back in a couple months turn in what's left to the lfs for trade

I'm not really familiar with any "lfs" around here. Mostly just petsmart and petco, I'll have to look into some around here, I also feel like Jd's probably aren't a fish their in need of. Even for free I wonder if they'd be afraid of disease, what are your thoughts?
I think I'm leaning towards this, just hard with my first successful batch, I'll probably get sick of them soon though lol.
I've bred JD and i raised over 1000 babies to 2" size. I sold and traded them to all the fish stores around my area. Gave some away to friends used some as feeders. You'll get sick of them if you raise that many. I ended up selling my pair after they bred couple more times.
