what do you guys feed your buttis

I just got one and ive been feeding him krill and beefheart ive always had sa cichlids i was just wondering if i should feed him differently since he is a african?

They are omnivores, I would not feed beefheart too regularly. Try occasional earthworms and they LOVE snails, all sizes, shell on they just mash them up.

could they live on BW,BS and feeders?

i jus feed mine pellets and occassional market shrimp that the aros dont eat. grow kinda slow but show's decent growth. went from 2" to about 6" in about 6 months.

i fed mine hikari complete cichlid pellets and MS (he devoured both)

hi all i feed mine emrald entre daily and and mix in treats like blood worms beefheart, nightcrawlers ,and crickets and some fresh veggies

I fed mine hikari gold and it loved it, mine grew really fast as well probably close to an inch a month maybe more

i feed mine hikari complete and freeze dried shrimp....sometimes a live crawfish too
