Like anything some grow fast up to 18'' in the first year others slower-Anne

Yup my experience matches Anne's, some seem in a hurry to be Monster, others take ther time. It's mainly genetic, but without the right environment and diet, that will affect them a lot too.

Endlis growth rate can varied, depend on the food, environment and the parents gene. Some grow to 14"-15 in the first year, some 18"-20"+ in the first year. Average would be 16"-18" in the first year for regular length endli and semi-short body around 12"-14".

Similar to the above comments-It ca vary allot.

I have two endis. (both were purchased at 2 1/2")

#1 after 2 years is a chunky 14"
#2 after 4 1/2 months is 13"

Diet, beef heart, prawns, smelt, massivoire and now tiliapia

Feeders will make them grow fast but make sure they are quarantine.

These are the foods that make my bichirs grow faster and thicker.
-Weather loaches
-Gobies
-Frogs

because of all this farming,growth can vary alot.
generally ive found they grow fast...some ive had grow 2" a month.
