What do you guys keep with your African Pikes?

Been looking to get an Odoe but I'm not too sure what can be kept with it in a 240. What have you guys had success with? Is an arowana out of the question? What about bichirs and clownknives? I know a clown knife will eventually get too big for the tank but can they live with odoes? Just looking for some ideas. Thanks

I got mine with a lacerdae wolf fish, a korean perch bichirs, I had a tarpon in with him, but he kicked the tarpon's a55. I think they are usually pretty cool with all tankmates except those that have similar shape and color to them. Don't really know if it has to do with what level swimmers they are, because it hasn't had any problems with the perch or my old gar. Aros should be fine, just watch out for jardini aggression.

cool. i plan on keeping one with my royal clown knife, some type of bichir not sure which one yet but the more active type, either an aro or gar, and maybe some type of catfish like a tiger shovelnose or something.

all those tankmates sound cool. I'm not really sure about the clown though. Might be a problem cuz they're both silverish fish. That seems to be my african pike's trigger to fight. Could just be mine though. But again, I have no experience with the two as tankmates, so i couldn't really say. I'd just keep an eye on those two. Good luck bro.
