What do you guys reckon of this size tank?

I'm looking at getting a 6 foot long, 18 inch wide and 20inch high tank. Just wondering if anyone has this size tank and what they think of it?

I need to replace my 4 foot tank, and was thinking this would be a good step up.

The 4 foot currently houses 4 smallish discus, a salifin pleco, flying fox, 8 harliquins and 6 black neons.

I wanted to add a few more guys when i upgrade, a pair of pictus cats and a featherfin catfish. How big do pictus cats get?

Sounds like a 100g tank. Pictus usually round out about 5" but can get to 6" And the Featherfin Cat is a Synodontis, right? Those can be a bit aggressive from what I've heard, but mine always hid. But I also had some semi-aggressive fish that it had to hand with.

6x18x20 comes out to 112g.

never heard of a tank with those dims, i got a 6x18x18 100g and think its a great tank.

Ya, betweena 90g and a 100g, 100g is way better.

Yeah i figure its about 100G. The 4 foot is 40G.

Are you happy with your tanks? like to look at and and maintain and aquascape?

Yeah synodontis, might stear clear if they are a bit agressive. But pictus would go alright with what i already have?

I like the extra height, i'm getting it custom built if i can.

The Harliquins and Tetras will probably end up as Catfish meal as they get bigger. A group of Pictus would be good since they like to shoal.
