Bred to not have a tail at all? I didn't think that was possible.. What do you guys think?

Most of the time, the tail is just cut off.
It's been done with BP's before.

some fish are born like that from genetic defect but to supply for the demand, the majority of them are cut off.

The tailess flowerhorn came out about 6 years ago but its just that the lfs do not carry it.

That golden flowerhorn tail in that link looks cut to me.
