Intermedius? Been months and he kept his copper/goldish color where as the malas are dark with a solid stripe. Growth rate seem to differ, intermedius is growing at a faster rate.

First thing to do will be to try and get a shot of the under jaw, that will show if it's Mala or not. While your there try an count the number of pores along one side of the underside of the jaw, there will be one at the front under chin so don't miss that.

4 pores and it will probably be intermedius, 5 australis. 4 could also be brasiliensis but I haven't seen one in the flesh so couldn't confirm that. The two also have similar ray and scale count that overlaps.

Looks alot like intermedius to me as well. malas tend to have a longer jaw, where interm. have a "bulldog" type of face.
My thoughts exacty, the 3 malas all have that feature. the intermedius hang out with the black sometimes and i can see the similarity in jaw structure, but the curupiras jaw is way more broad.

haha working on it but for some reason they been really lazy sitting at one spot. It's probably the Curupira, lately i have seen him harass the other wolves now that hes a lot bigger.
