So I was just cruising the internet and saw a couple photos of what at first glance appeared to be a sen. Then I looked closer at the head shape and it now looked like a pollixsen hybrid. It has the patterns (or lack of) like a sen and a palmas polli head shape to me. I'll post pics below

With no expirience, but judging from google pictures of senegals, these guys look diffrent. Head seems more bulky to me.

It could be a CB sen. They do tend to have shorter rounder heads. They are also quite fat which might have added to their head size. From the pictures ive seen of pollixsen hybrids they will have the spots of the polli. I wouldnt say this fish has a similar headshape to my polli. It could just be a certain batch or collection that yielded this distinct head shape.DSC_0336.JPG

I thought the same thing at first, but then I counted the fin lets and it doesn't have the typical amount a normal sen does. And I was noticing that the polli in your pic has a flatter head and my 2 pollis have more rounded. What made me think that this was a hybrid was that ID thread where a member thought he bought a sen and actually bought a pollixsen hybrid. I'll try and find the thread. I would've though CB sen as well at first glance but the head shape seems to be a lot more different than a normal sen and the finlets seem to have the numbers that favor a polli more than a senegal.

I always forget about finlet count. Still though, my polli only has 5 finlets where the pic you posted has 7. My polli could be an exception though, as this is the only one I've ever had and others obviously can vary. Im not familiar with the finlet count of sens or any polys for that matter. Ive always been able to identify a poly by their patterns so ive never gotten myself familiar with finlet counts.DSC_0208.JPG

Senegals have 8 at least and pollis have 5-7

Hmm, the body/head shape screams polli to me too

W/ hybrids you never know what your going to get, so saying that pollixsen hybrids will ALWAYS have polli markings is impossible. These seem to have the body/head of a polli w/ senegal coloring. Oddballs for sure
