What do you keep for tankmates with your Tigrinis?

I have one about 4-5" have it with a shoal of serpae tetras that slowly decreases .

But in the long run i am considering keeping it by itself or with my shoal of red tail barracudas.

I dont want either really.. Would like a rather mellow tank at this point. was never much into arowanas and dont want to have a very high maitenence tank with the Cichla. Will either be keeping this tank at home with my dad or at my cousins while in college and they would prolly rather do 20-30% waterchange weekly rather than 50-60%

all the big barbs like....
tins, t-barbs, mascara barb fish, Clown barbs, Arulius barbs, balas, golden sharks, rose line sharks
