Ok the whole purpose of this thread is to see how well everyones datnoid does with different water conditions. You know where about you keep your ph, how much salt you add to your water, and temp of the water. Alot of people have different conditions they keep their dats in and they do fine so what does you dat stay in and do good.

I keep my Ph around 7.0, 1 tablespoon for every 5gallons of water and i keep my temp around 80degrees. Whenever they caught something i would add even more salt and they would still do fine so what are your dats conditions.

if you have fishes like bichirs i wouldnt recommend you putting salt. if only theres datnoids in the tank, it should be ok, but datnoids are ok in 7ph with 80-82 thats how i keep mine

To be honest, I have no idea.
My dat is stalbe and eating well, so I havent bother to check my params.
Flame on..

Ph 6.4, temp 84, dark blue background, and 3 big driftwoods. Only 1 it and my st is stable. My st is looking darker now but still stable.

Ph 8. Nitrite and amonia 0, nitrate 30-40 Sometimes higher
Temp 80 f
Black backround, bare bottom.
8 indo all stable. Other 2 are on and off, stable when they feel like it :-)

i keep my NGT in totally fresh water Ph 7.9,temp at 78f and he's doing well in the nearly two years i've had him/her,does like to fight with my RCK sometimes though even though he comes off worst most of the time
