What type of news do you guys hear about South Africa that live in other countries. And what do you guys know about the country in general. I know this is quite a weird question but I'm really curious about how people from abort see our country, ( I'm really not trying to offend any one, trying to gain some knowledge)

Other then that I guess Nelson Mandela is one of the most famous people on the planet.

And wasn´t a war around 1900 or so between the english and the dutch that took place in south africa?

And you used to have this apartheidsystem but that that ended in 1990 or so?
